More than 20 years ago, Jan Hailey decided it was time to make real estate a career.  She and her husband had been buying small farm properties in Montgomery County, PA, subdividing the land into building lots and refurbishing the old farm house.  Jan saw the opportunity to market her own properties and use her knowledge of subdivision and construction to help other people do the same thing. 

Jan and her family loved their 200 year old Pennsylvania farm property but the cold weather finally took its toll.  After searching extensively, they found Hilton Head Island.  It was love at first sight.  They purchased a condo on the Island in 1990 and visited as often as possible over the next 5 years.  In 1995 they said "enough is enough" to cold weather and make a permanent move to Hilton Head where they built a new home in Moss Creek. 

Her philosophy in helping clients is simple: "Listen to what they are really looking for, what fits into their plans whether it's today or down the road.  Picture in your mind what they are describing, then find it."  This is just an extension of the philosophy she used for her own family.
