Showing Your Home In Its Best Light

You loved your home. Now that it’s time to move on you want someone else to love it, too. That first impression will help complete strangers, groups of house hunters, to fall hopelessly in love with your home.

That will mean some work on your part. You’ll need to fix all of the little things that nagged at you, but weren’t enough to cause you to actually take care of or fix. It’s time now. You’ll also want your property to be spotlessly clean. That many mean some professional cleaning help. You’ll need to de-clutter everywhere, including removing personal pictures and mementos, put out the good towels and linens, even place fresh flowers in many rooms. You’ll want to make your home as special and welcoming as you can.

And you’ll need to not be there. Don’t complicate your house hunters’ initial impression by having them meet and think about you. You want them to think about the property and what it would be like for them to live there, not what it’s like for YOU to live there. And that goes double for your pets. Although it might be difficult, it will be best if ALL animals are absent during viewings.
