What's It Worth?

This may literally be the famous $64,000 question. What is your home, your property on Hilton Head Island, worth?

And the answer doesn’t have to be a complete mystery. You CAN know what your property is worth, the true current marketing value. You’ll just have to do a little work. Or better yet, partner with someone who will do most of the work for you.

The real market value of your home may have more to do with the current sales and available homes than your specific property. You may have a number in mind, one based upon what you paid for the property, one that it tied up in the emotions of your home on Hilton Head, the memories there, the excitement of this beautiful island. One of the best ways for you to determine your listing price is to let us take you to see some of the currently available properties that are comparable to your own. Tour them as if you were shopping to buy. Look at them critically. Make notes. And then, return to your own property and immediately review it with the same critical intensity. Does your home show better or worse? And why? What can you do to make your home the one that homebuyers, house hunters who will see these other properties as well, simply must buy?

You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can become objective and detached when we’re talking dollars. Listing your house for the right number will mean a faster sale, closer to your asking price. Pricing too high might mean a disappointing and costly wait. And no one wants to price too low and leave money on the table.
